What: The America Invents Act is the most sweeping change to patent law in the last sixty years. Learn how the patent reform will affect inventors, investors and technology companies. Attendees will learn:
· How the patent system protects innovation;
· What new aspects of patent reform will impact intellectual property protection;
· How to draft their own patent claim to software, biotechnology and/or mechanical inventions in an interactive workshop; and
· How to find the defects and problems in a poorly drafted patent.
Who Should Attend: Entrepreneurs; engineers; research faculty; Technology managers; independent inventors; newly admitted patent attorneys and agents; and general counsel that hires outside patent counsel.
