The Mini Maker Faire Returns to Orlando this October. ICCF will have a whole section devoted to our inventors. Look for further information at Orlando Mini Maker Faire website. They are expecting over 5000 visitors. To prepare for this our monthly meetings will feature seminars on how to get the most out of public presentations such as this.

You’re invited to be part of the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth – the Tampa Bay Mini Maker Faire, on March 23 from 10am – 6pm.

What is a Maker Faire?

A Maker Faire is a family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Tampa Bay Mini Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. All of these “makers” come to our Mini Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned.

Tampa Bay Mini Maker Faire inspires, educates, and entertains curious and creative learners of all ages. It celebrates arts, crafts, engineering, food, green design, music, science and technology and brings together communities who embrace the DIY (do-it-yourself) spirit.

Showcase Your Own Inventiveness!

If you are interested in exhibiting your work as a hobbyist, artist, model maker, crafter, innovative musician, inventor or DIY creator of any type, if you're part of a museum or hobby group and would like to showcase your educational or inventive work, please apply by March 20. It's free to demo your hobby, craft or invention, or educational program, and just $50 if you'd like to sell wares.

It has been a little over a year and his company just signed a Multi Million Dollar partnership with a New York Based IT firm. 11:30 am Tim Walsh www.theplaymakers.com is a 21 year veteran of the $22 billion toy industry and is regarded as an international expert on the subject. He has written 2 bestselling books and an award winning documentary on the unknown history and inside workings of this fiercely competitive field. The knowledge he is sharing is priceless.

The Art of Licensing

2:30 pm Trevor Lambert www.lambertinvent.com has been developing and licensing products as well as providing technology transfers since 2001. His clients products are now in stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, Lowes, Bed Bath & Beyond, Home Depot, Toys “R” Us and many more, generating royalties in the millions of dollars. Products range from direct response television (infomercial) to industrial products currently being commercialized by John Deere."

3:30 pm Greg Berman, CEO, www.BusinessPartners.com is the man behind the company that links entrepreneurs, small business owners, and established companies, looking for capital and funding with willing CEOs, executives and angel investors. I would have to say this is the best inventor's fair in Florida. You deserve to visit either as an exhibitor or an attendee. They have very informative speakers going all day and 75 exhibit tables. Its ALL FREE but you need to sign up. Over 50 tables have been reserved already. With only about 2 weeks to go you should be well on your way with your presentation preparation and your survey forms. Inventing Daily Website

It has been brought to our attention that there is a website called InventingDaily.com which is an outlet to market your developed invention. The basics are a $35 monthly fee and 5% of your sales. (look under terms and conditions) You provide the fulfillment. They also list the Edison Nation talent searches and have lists of trade shows all over the country. No one from our group has actually worked with this site so they do not have a track record with us. I did, however, notice they are selling at least two inventions by inventors I met at the ISSF inventors expo.

I wanted to let you all know that our annual Expo, Resources 2013, is once again going to be at the prestigious Palm Beach County Convention Center and will be held on 2/16/2013.

Once again it will be FREE to Attend, FREE to Exhibit and FREE to hear our Speakers!
