Lawsuit Says "First to File" is Unconstitutional
Our member, Mark Stadnyk, is in the process of sueing the US government regarding the constitutionality of the America Invents Act and its "First to File" clause. The Constitution states, "To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries." Edison Nation - Be sure to read the contract
I believe that your email regarding the Edison Nation project is missing an important piece of information. They are not just seeking a "licensing agreement" with inventors. If you read the fine print you will discover that by submitting a product idea you are completely giving up the rights to your invention (Exhibit A, section 1A).
